Doctrinal Debating Forum
Hey, yes we encourage brothers and sisters to debate doctrinal or Biblical perspectives... but only here on this forum or in a created group with others who have the gumption and the gall to debate/dialogue. It can be very healthy... if we stay humble, teachable, willing to be wrong and willing to be lovingly corrected. We all need to be quick to listen and seek to understand rather than just to shout out our stance and seek others to comply or understand our perspectives only. Iron sharpens iron and we can all learn from one another... but we must keep it friendly, Godly and edifying without strife or pride (for all contention and strife comes by pride). Please no "Bible bullying" or engaging in malicious or condescending tones. No domineering or aggressive dialogue that could hurt anyone's genuine attempt at understanding each perspective. Vent... but be nice, be kind and gentle. (Walk in the fruit of the Spirit always! 😇) Anyone flagged or reported will be reviewed to make sure that this forum is not being abused. R1 Staff will moderate this forum and all forums to ensure that we truly live up to the "testimony of Jesus Christ as remnant saints. Peace my brothers and sisters! "Remind the believers of these things, charging them before God to avoid quarreling over words, which succeeds only in leading the listeners to ruin. Make every effort to present yourself approved to God, an unashamed workman who accurately handles the word of truth. But avoid irreverent, empty chatter, which will only lead to more ungodliness, and the talk of such men will spread like gangrene. Flee from youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, together with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. But reject foolish and ignorant speculation, for you know that it breeds quarreling. And a servant of the Lord must not be quarrelsome, but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, and forbearing. He must gently reprove those who oppose him, in the hope that God may grant them repentance leading to a knowledge of the truth. Then they will come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil, who has taken them captive to his will." 2 Timothy 2:14-26
